For the construction of the step pyramid it has always been assumed that the zigzag ramp up the side of the pyramid was used. This theory however is contradicted by the archeological findings at the pyramid of Sinki.
Ambulant Ramps:
The construction of the step pyramids was effected with the aid of ambulant ramps.
These were the logical follow-up to the ramps used for building simple walls. The remains of ramps that were found in Sinki represent conclusive evidence that this method was used.
